WWE Raw Preview

Despite the freezing weather and the difficult conditions in the southeast, WWE Monday Night Raw is set to take place tonight at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. The SmackDown house show in Montgomery, AL has already been cancelled due to the weather, and the SmackDown tapings in Birmingham, AL tomorrow are in jeopardy as well.

The big news tonight is the return of 2010 WWE Superstar of the Year, John Cena. Many are speculating that he will announce his entry into the 30-man Royal Rumble match, but it seems that the “anonymous” General Manager has something else in mind and will make Cena work for it.

In addition to Cena’s return, WWE will announce the first member of the 2011 Hall of Fame class, which will take place in Atlanta, GA later this year. Rumors have it that the WWE may use a WCW theme for the Hall of Fame, given that WrestleMania is taking place in the South. It is expected that Atlanta native Ron Simmons, the first-ever black WCW World Champion and a former WWE tag team champion, will be announced for the Hall of Fame.

As the Royal Rumble is just three weeks away, we can expect a lot of build-up to the event. The new Nexus, led by CM Punk, is also set to cause more chaos, and many are wondering what role Wade Barrett will play now. It is possible that we could see a face turn for Barrett.

While Raw should be a decent show, it may not necessarily wow anyone. Nevertheless, WWE fans will surely be tuning in to catch all the action and excitement.
